Fundraising for Nicaragua

In order to fundraise for my trip, I gathered my family and friends to play hockey over winter break. It was really fun because I knew everyone on the ice and I love to play hockey.  I was also able to raise some money from it. Also, I have been selling sunset cards with photos of sunsets that I took from my own backyard.
I am going to Nicaragua where you can swim in the Pacific ocean, drive a couple hours and then swim in the Atlantic ocean. Unlike in America, where it would take a couple days to cross the country. There is also a dual volcano where the volcano erupts with two different lava channels.
One tradition in Nicaragua that is unique and cool is they dedicate the entire month of September to celebrate their independence as a country. Another tradition is six days before Easter, Holy Week begins where all the Catholic people of Nicaragua remember the resurrection and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Since the majority of Nicaragua practices the Catholic belief, this is a very big holiday in Nicaragua.
So far what I have learned about Nicaragua is amazing. My research has shown me how many different cultures there are in this world and how unique and cool other countries can be. So far I feel that I have done quite a good job fund raising. All in all, I am really looking forward to going to Nicaragua.
